Terms and Conditions

EPR TRAVEL is legally founded in Quito in 2007 under the Licencia de Funcionamiento No. 107705
The company is governed by the Ministry of Tourism of Ecuador. It is an active member of the “Cámara de Turismo de Pichincha” CAPTUR and the National Association of Touroperators of Ecuador (Asociación Nacional de Operadores Turísticos del Ecuador “OPTUR”).


  • Conditions:


  • EPR TRAVEL, as an intermediate between clients and providors of turistic services such as hotels, guides etc. is not able to influence the decisions and policies of the providors afore mentioned. EPR Travel is responsable for providing the services mentioned in the programs.

  • EPR Travel does not take responsability for events such as accidents, strikes, riots, earthquakes, climatological or natural events, safety conditions, political events, denial of entry, health affairs and every other form of force majeur that might occur during the tour. 


  • EPR Travel guarantees the safety of the passenger and therefor reserves the right to adjust, change or cancel itineraries, flights, hotels and other services in case one of the events mentioned under b takes place. Clients of EPR Travel accept this condition upon conformation of their booking. When cancellation of a tour or part of a tour is necessary, the responsability or EPR Travel is limited to the cancelled part, subtracting the costs that already have been made at that time.

  • EPR Travel reserves the right to exclude from the tour is it operating, any passenger that is giving them reason to do so, for moral or disciplinary reasons, because the passenger is obstructing the tour or hindering the other passengers, without any right to reclamation or refund.


  • Reservations:


  • All reservations are made through EPR Travel, by e-mail to [email protected].  EPR Travel will respond with a confirmation code. Passengers will thereby have accepted the terms and conditions mentioned in this document as valid for the contract between them and EPR Travel. The services EPR Travel will provide are listed in the bill of sales.

  • EPR Travel will send the passenger a form he has to fill out to provide the necessary information, such as names, date of birth, nationality, contact in case of an emergency, dietary wishes, and a scan of the passport(s).

  • Upon confirmation of the reservation, a 40% deposit  is required, per person.  This has to be paid within 8 days of  the date of reservation. If the reservation is made through an agency, the agent will provide the passenger with the necessary information about how to make the deposit.

  • If the deposit is not received within  8 days after the reservation, EPR Travel will assume that the reservation has been cancelled.

  • After the reservation the client receives a bill with the travel dates and the amount  to be paid. All payments must be received 60 days before the start of the tour. If payment is not received on time, EPR Travel reserves the right to assume that the reservation is cancelled, and will refund clients in accordance with the cancellation policy.

  • Payment for tours to Bolivia and/or Peru have to be made 3 months before the start of the tour.


  • Payments an cancellations


  • Payments have to be transferred to the EPR Travel bank account in Ecuador. Clients will be responsable for any extra costs for international money transfers and will make sure EPR Travel receives the full amount due.

  • If a tour is cancelled, the following penalties will apply:

  • Cancellations from 90 days from the start of the tour: 300 usd  per person

  • Cancellations from 89 to 61 days from the start of the tour: 40% of the total sum, which equals the deposit.

  • Cancellations from 60 days or less from the start of the tour: the full amount has to be paid.

  • Cancellations that include a reservation on a yacht in the Galapagos Isles are subject to the cancellation policies of the yacht.


  • Refunds: 


  • If a passenger wants to cancel a tour because of  serious illness or the death of a spouse, parent, sibling or child, he will notify EPR Travel by email at  [email protected], providing proof of the reason of cancellation. EPR Travel will refund the amount paid, subtracting 30% for administrative costs and other costs already made for the client.


  • In case of a no-show or a delayed flight or if the passenger is late because of a delay in land transport, or if he voluntarily decides to cancel the tour, no refund will be made.

  • If the passenger wishes to change the itinerary he will have to pay for the additional costs as a result of the change. No refund will be made for services in the original itinerary he decides not to use.
